Redstone Arsenal - Huntsville Alabama

Week One  Fulltime in the motorhome, has  been an eye opening experience:)  Traveling in the motorhome with weekend supplies is different than traveling with everything you "think" you need for a year.  We spent our first night in Nashville, and realized some "stuff needed to go back to Clarksville to storage.  Bob made a quick trip back to Clarksville in our CRV to drop off the excess stuff. He returned and we made a quick visit to Camping World to stock up on a few items, and admire the 2013 Winnebago Sightseer 33c, fleeting thoughts of "gee that would be nice for  the next year" then " No that probably would not be a good idea yet".

Headed  down the road to Huntsville Al to Redstone Arsenal MWR RV Park.  We have stayed here several times before.  Love, Huntsville and get the added benefit of  visiting with our dear friends Vicki & Dennis Bryant & their son Jon & their dog Bear who is Georgia's best dog friend ever.   This location is a good  base camp to begin from because the location is near the PX & Commissary allowing us the opportunity to get the supplies we need.  There is also a place to wash the RV and a dog park:)

We have packed & repacked the cupboards and bins trying to see which is going to work the best, It will be a work in progress.  Bob is already planning some "mods" to make things more comfortable for us.   We added a card table into the mix yesterday so we can both sit in our comfy chairs and eat, instead of  eating at the booth dinette.  It actually worked well, and is far more comfy than the dinette.  So we will probably remove the dinette and rework that area, to a freestanding  desk/table area for the office and Euro lounger (recliner).

Today is cleaning up and preparing to head out for our road trip North to Michigan.   We will be heading out tomorrow morning, plan to be in Bay Harbor Michigan & Macinaw Island area from Labor Day through Mid September.    I will update when I can and try to include some pictures.
