Yellowstone National Park

July 8-9 2013

We spent two days exploring Yellowstone National Park.     We  couldn't wait to get settled in at the RV Park and head to Yellowstone.  We bought a pass that was good for a week, that also gives you entrance to Glacier National and the Grand Tetons National Parks.  There were" Bear Warnings" everywhere.  So with Georgia up front she was to be the official Bear Scout while we took our first drive into the park.    Pets are allowed  in the park but must be on leash and within 100 ft of the car.  We decided Georgia would only be with us on our first day drive,  Then day two we left her home, in the air conditioned motorhome, much safer for her. We had record breaking high temperatures while  visiting the park.   The high temperatures made me want to spend more time in the Visitor's Centers and the car driving taking in the beauty.

The World's First National Park,   consists of  2,221,766 acres or 3,472 square miles!   This park is so big.... 96% in Wyoming, 3% in Montana,and 1% in Idaho!  It is larger than Rhode Island and Delaware combined.   Now that you know how BIG it is, let me show you how BEAUTIFUL it is:)
