Naples Florida

We arrived at "Signature  Motorcoach Resort  Naples" October 15th.   This is the "sister" resort of the "Bay Harbor Motorcoach Resort" we stayed at in Michigan.    We had high expectations following our wonderful stay in Michigan, and were not dissappointed.   It has a beautiful clubhouse with a stunning infinity pool, tennis courts, plus two other pools and laundry facilities.  There is a lake in the center of the property, and lush landscape with palm trees lining the streets and RV sites.

This is still "off season" so the normal  social activities haven't geared up yet.  They will begin October 26 th with an October fest weekend.   The weather has been warm and humid.  Should be great in another month as the "snowbirds" start arriving.    We will spend our time  and enjoying the beach  and trying to stay cool :) till we leave here October 31st.

 Coligny Beach Park
Hilton Head Island, SC

This Beach Park was our best discovery on the Island! (so far)  We have come to HHI for years and never knew about this beautiful area.  Georgia and I have been enjoying our walks/ runs/ play time on the beach daily.  It is so nice to find something so awesome completely FREE.    We are here during  low season, so the beach is not crowded.  It is just perfect for people and dogs:)

This is the entrance to the Best Beach Park on HHI

Bath Houses  so cute!
Promenade with pergolas and porch swings and benchs, beautiful even on a cloudy day!
The Beach is ours this morning!

As soon as I pull in the parking lot, Georgia begins to whine and  bark...can't wait to run on the beach

The Bordwalk back to the Promenade
Beautiful!

Following our "work out"  time to rest and have a cookie and water.    One Very Happy Puppy!

A Morning At The Beach....Hilton Head Island
DELIGHTFUL!
This is Barney a Golden Retriever that directed us to the beach and coaxed Georgia to chase him into the water.  This was Georgia's first experience in the water, when she realized she was in the water she stopped and looked at me with big eyes  as if to say " UH OH" and took off running right back to me!  It was so funny.

Georgia loves running on the beach!  If you can enlarge this pic to see her face you will see a huge smile:)  Dogs are welcome on the beach on and off leash,  I let her off leash and she had so much fun.  People kept coming up to me and saying "That is a happy dog!"

This is my "Happy Dog" wanting to run again on the beach!
Back at the motorhome Georgia is dreaming about the beach:)  Till tomorrow

Week 7 of the Great Adventure

Lake Greenwood Motorcoach Resort SC

Sunrise on Lake Greenwood

This was a busy week.  We left Bull Run State Park near Manasas VA and headed to Asheville, spent one night in Asheville at Bear Creek Campground just off the interstate.  Managed to get over to the Biltmore for a wine tasting then tucked in for the night.  We headed out the next morning for Lake Greenwood  SC and stayed at a beautiful RV Resort on Lake Greenwood ( which is only about 100 miles from Athens GA)  We were immediately greeted by a huge yellow lab named Maxie  that was instant friends with Georgia.  She followed us as I walked Georgia, and I finally let Georgia off leash and they ran till they dropped:)  The next morning Maxie was at the door waiting for Georgia to get up and play, wish I could have brought her with us.   This was a lovely RV Resort but it is in the "Boonies"  It was 30 miles from the interstate in the middle of nowhere, we usually prefer being a little closer to a town... We had a very nice evening an enjoyed the sunrise in the morning .  Then headed on to Hilton Head Island SC.
