Polson Montana - Flat Head Lake
7/6/13 - 7/7/13

We  left Idaho and made our way to Polson Montana, on Flat Head Lake.  This was a good stopping point on our way to Yellowstone and we had heard great things about this RV Resort.
Polson Motorcoach Resort  and the KOA are actually both at this same location, managed and owned by the same family.   The KOA is at the top of the hill and the Motorcoach Resort which has privately owned sites that are for sale or rent is on terraced levels below.  All the sites in the Motorcoach Resort have a view of the lake.  It is beautiful.   The office for both the KOA and the The Resort is a big log cabin with a great gift shop and store.  There is also an outdoor covered deck area overlooking the lake that they hosted a wine and cheese party the night we were there.  Sunday morning they have Huckleberry Pancake Breakfast.     We happened to  link up with former neighbors from Lazy Days / Tucson, Gay and Joe and their four pups,:)    So glad we got to visit even though it was short.
There is a private airport adjacent to the resort.  the runway is  in front of the resort.  It isn't busy and insures a unobstructed view of the lake.
Beautiful place to visit wish we had more time there.

Tranquil Beauty walking in Idaho
7/4/13

My mornings while in Idaho always began with a walk with my favorite walking buddy Georgia. We loved our time taking in natures beauty.   These photos are of our morning walk, in Stone Ridge. Enjoy:)

Happy Independence Day the Stone Ridge Way
7/4/13

July 4th is  a day full of activities at Stone Ridge.  It began with a golf cart parade.  All the carts were patriotic in decorations.  The parade began at the Mortor Coach Village and wound throughout the resort.  One of the ladies brought new red and blue bandanas and dog treats for all the pups!  Following the parade was a golf scramble and that evening a  pot luck and spectacular fireworks over the lake.  We had a drive in movie seat watching our TV and the fireworks out the front window of the motorhome.   Now this is the life!

Stone Ridge Motorcoach & Golf Resort
Blanchard, Idaho
6/29/13 -7/6/13

We arrived in the rain, and at 5 PM it cleared:) At 6 PM there was a live concert on the  fairway at the "19th hole" What a delight, all the folks that had been hiding inside came out to enjoy the "Party",  We had a delightful time and met several owners, that encouraged us to stay and buy a lot:)

I think the pictures will better describe the spectacular beauty of this place.   It is a rustic  luxury  resort, there is a time share lodge, condos, townhomes, private lake homes, and the Motorcoach Resort.  The golf course is beautiful as well.     We found out that if we took the real estate tour our stay for one week is free!  Could not resist, what a deal!  What a blessing!   The real estate tour was actually very low key and no pressure.
The Motor Coach Resort has it's own pool and club house,  and laundry and an amazing dog park.
Motor Coach sites are available for sale or rent,  some owners have improved their sites with  outdoor entertainment areas,  in a rustic log cabin style.

We stayed the week, Bob enjoyed the golf and even shot a 78 one day!  Georgia and I enjoyed walking the walking trails, playing at the dog park and just taking in the spectacular tranquil beauty.   Even if you don't have a motorhome you can enjoy a wonderful get away. Our week flew by:(
